Crab Fried Rice

This crab fried rice recipe can be easily made at home. The day before, prepare 2 cups of steamed white rice. Meanwhile, dice the spring onions and set them aside. Then, mix the fish sauce and Soy sauce together. Pour 4 tablespoons of Canola oil into a large non-stick pan. Make sure to spread the oil evenly to prevent the ingredients from burning. Stir the rice and crab meat until they are well-mixed.

Ingredients
  

  • crab meats
  • left-over rice
  • garlic crushed and chopped
  • egg
  • salt
  • fish sauce
  • cooking oil

Instructions
 

  • Saute' garlic in a hot pan with oil.
  • When the garlic turns golden, add in the crabs. Stir well.
  • Season the dish with a bit of fish sauce.
  • Add in the left-over rice. Stir well.
  • Add in the egg.
  • Season the egg with a dash of salt.
  • Break the yolk in the pan; and stir well until the egg is cooked.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Serve while hot.

Notes

Notice that I didn't add any other seasoning into the dish. You don't need additional MSG into your dish to make it taste great. If you're fond of onions, you can also add chopped onions into this dish. In which case, you saute' them right after the garlic.
